We have options: Thibs, Alvin Gentry, Coach Cal, one of the Spurs assistants, some up and coming college dude

Most attractive job opening in the NBA :blessed:

i don't care if he was yellow..dude blew a 20 pt 4th quarter lead at home..in the playoffs.

Word, but that's a lame excuse to fire someone..

1 playoff game? And this was the first playoff series for a few of those guys on that team..

Look at how many times scott brooks and kevin McHale have screwed up and kept theur jobs and they got legit MVP type players on their rosters

That one game should not have determined his fate,.. realistically they weren't beating GS anyhow

It's funny how the Pelicans' owner told them (GM Demps and Head Coach Monty Williams) their jobs were safe after making the playoffs and then opting to can Williams.

FWIW - I'm not mad at New Orleans canning Williams. We saw how awful he was in that series vs GS. Could they have upset them? Not likely. But they could've put themselves in a better position to execute and player better/consistently instead of the hack jobs then ended up doing in Game 2 and 3. And that's on coaching.
At the end of the day, this is a business. And you have a great asset (Anthony Davis) which you have to try and maximize while he's here to get the most out of their business.

I thought they would extend him another year, didn't they say he would if he made the playoffs?
His team overachieved in a division where every team made the postseason then beat the Spurs to clinch.
You'd think the next season would've been make or break for him
