Pelican fans prolly just thinking anyone but Monty. Don't blame them. AD willed that fukking team to the playoffs. He needs better coaching. They all desperately do

Well he's not a good coach to begin with which would explain why his job wasn't secure, but I digress, yeah I thought them making the playoffs would save him temporarily.

Valid points. But Monty making the playoffs should have weighed more in favor of him keeping his job because I doubt the Pelicans were even expected to be there.

He's not a good coach for a 'good' team but for a team that's trying to be something and still developing he's a good fit. I doubt any other coach is really getting this Pelican squad past the first round. They did get swept by a Warriors favored to win it all.

While Chicago coach Tom Thibodeau is the leader in the Orlando Magic vacant coaching clubhouse, Scott Skiles and Scott Brooks are still in contention. I’m hearing the Magic job is Thibodeau’s if he so desires, although some basketball insiders are speculating New Orleans could be Thibodeau’s preferred landing spot. Skiles hasn’t coached since being jettisoned by the Bucks in January of 2013, but has a huge fan in Richard DeVos, the Magic owner.
