Is this the new NBA? Where Black coaches are hired to develop players and a winning culture and get canned once they get the ball rolling and if AD is as good of a player as he is, what, that coach doesn't get credit for that either? I'm not saying dude was an elite coach but he earned himself another season, that being said, he could be a front runner for the Orlando job, which may have more upside.

Please hire Scott Brooks and dont give Brow a real coach
Brooks drew up some ugly plays but hey the Thunder matured a lot and really improved in his tenure, so with a relatively young Pels teams he migjt actually not be the worst choice 
It's tough to say of course how much of it was Durant, Westbrook etc talent and how much was Brooks and his staff's player development but hey results are results. Watching Westbrook for 2 years in UCLA I for one never in a million years thought he could average damn near 30/10/10 in the NBA for almost a season ( or even half a season)
I guess when we talk about black coaches getting a raw deal we're not going to talk about how Brian Shaw replaced George Karl (how did that work out, btw?), Doc Rivers replaced Vinny Del Negro, how Scott Brooks got fired, and how McHale and Thibs are likely on the hot seat

He should have been given another year since they are just turning the corner and were a playoff team this year. Since they got rid of him though they better make sure they hire someone who is a proven winner cuz with AD the Pelicans are ready to soar.
