I actually know of a lot of big music producers who have moved out of LA recently or never moved there in the first place. No need for producers to be in-studio now with everything handled on a laptop and all these kids sending in beats anyways from around the world.
It's facts though, when the star power ain't there, nobody really wants to go to a club that won't have any clout.
