this is about more than Freedom of Speech,these cacs were apart of a violent mob/gang based on hate and discrimination....You should be able to say what you want off the clock within reason,they on the other hand went to hang out with Nazis and terrorize people with torches symbolic of the KKK.
The difference with Kapernick is that the NFL has already set a precedent in terms of what speech and behavior they're willing to allow. There have been guys who have dropped racial slurs, beaten women, and killed that got job opportunities in the NFL.

Freedom of speech means that you are free from government reprisal. No one can arrest you for your speech, but you damn sure can get fired for it. How do people not know this? Go up to your boss and call them a stupid bytch then whine and cry about your "freedom of speech".
The main point of contention for a lot of these alt-right dudes is their lack own shortcomings with regards to taking advantage of white supremacy. Much of it has to do with them not getting the women they feel they deserve. I think it's the aggregate of combined social media efforts. This event was so publicized that pictures of people there are going to be shared around and eventually someone that knows or recognizes someone will reveal that individual's identity.
