My first thought was how awkwardly posed they are and how unnatural the body language is.
Second thought, that it was supposed to look like brotherly love and completely failed. Cuz they're stiff and borderline mean mugging the camera.
Or like one of those 'come here son', hug to the chest, staged sitcom dad hugs. But after the dad reaches for his son to console him after he fell off his bike yet before the full protective bear hug reassuring your boy that you're more grateful he's in one piece than angry that he totaled the car. *cue fake audience saying awwww*
Which is awkward to put Jordan in the dominant paternal role, almost glaring protectively while shielding his 'kid' when they are ostensibly equals with a professional relationship that is a partnership, not a mentorship.
Magazine photo shoots can be odd as hell though. Celebs look wooden and fake, models look like bizarro world mannequins.
So I guess I agree it looks weird/stupid?
I just don't see homoeroticism.
If they were in a relationship, yeah. But since they ain't I just see a fake bro hug mixed stupidly with awkward editorial styling.
