its not that its wack shyt these days, its more like, the sound has evolved and went over your head.
how can u expect a 35 year old to understand what a 21 year olds definition of dope is like?
i cant see myself being 40 and feelin the new shyt. im not even 25 yet and this new wave of lil yachty, uzi vert and thugger is really cool. really feelin alot of this shyt.
Well of course, everyones opinion is different. My take on what is wack or dope is gonna be different than alot of others, and that includes now and in the 90's,etc.

I was never in to that spice 1, or too short stuff back then. I just wasn't feeling it. And it wasn't like I was hating the west either cuz the Pharcyde and Souls were my two favs. We all just appreciate different things.

but yea, I can see why dudes would be attracted to the young thugs and uzi verts....but it just ain't for me.

Also, this isn't just hiphop related. But I miss back then when you had more clear cut choices for R&B and hiphop. Not there is soo much crossover that its hard to really judge what is what anymore.

I have young family members, my ear still to the streets too, i just can't fukk with these new dudes mumbling and telling folks to stay lit on some pill shyt... Its crazy, for me atleast... But the same can be said about us 90s nikkas when bone came out a lot of folks didn't know what the fukk they was saying.

Kevin Gates doesn't impress me like a AZ or Pun did, but he has his moments and makes good music, I also like that new kid David East he has potential.

I'm 35 and grew up on Wu-Tang and Triple Six...

They been rapping bout drugs (doing and selling) and everything under the sun since 90...

Only difference now is they gloryify tricking on h**" and paying for p****

Other than that, the music itself is still dope (though I really miss sampling in mainstream music) and I can feel all the new cats...except Drake...I understand his popularity...but don't condone it...dude is the king of cakin...smh

Earl is the last cat that really gave me that feeling that I used to get when I'd hear a new verse from Em/Bis ect.

Earl had his moments.

For me its Joey badass and freddie gibbs. Too bad capital steez isn't around because he impressed me too

Also I'm 34
