So what does the democrats reccommend on this bill? Whats their purposal?
here what the main democrats are saying they want on the bill
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., had asked for a bill that would boost resources for health care professionals and give more direct payments to workers than Republicans had wanted.

Schumer told reporters in the Capitol the Republican plan would assist large companies “with no protections for workers and virtually no oversight.”

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi had objected to the first version pitched by McConnell, claiming it didn't do enough to protect workers and gave too much to corporations.

Doesn’t look ADOS.

So democrats blocked this bill because they think the checks for households are too low? I mean if the difference is a few hundred then democrats can fukk off.

So what does the democrats reccommend on this bill? Whats their purposal?

Democrats want

1. More money to hospitals and healthcare professionals and first responders
2. More money to families. Repubs want 1200-2400 per family, with strict criteria.
3. Student loan forbearance with no penalty
4. Removing the Repubs demand to give Trump and Mnuchin 500 billion dollars to do as they please with. No disclosures of who and what that money goes to.
5. More oversight over the corporate bailout
6. Prevent corporates to buy back their stocks
7. More money to CDC and FEMA to help with the crisis
8. Block the 4T $ going to airlines and hotels.
9. Help small businesses with grants and interest free loans. Repubs want to give the money to banks then banks lend to who they want.

Now, which one do you disagree with ?

Mind you, this is just a summary.

Once the stores starts limiting the water purchases to 1 or 2 per customer, the water droughts haven’t been as bad

Whats the democrats monetary purposal to families? (Which is basically all we give a fukk about if we keeping it 100)

Based on todays debate, seems like their only main concerns is giving more money to health care and hospitals as well as having reciepts on what the big businesses spend the money on.

Waving student loans. 3k per family +wave of mortgage payments for 12 months+ student loan debt forgiveness in half

That is still less than 2T$. Corps asking for 4 T$

I’m in Atlanta and TP/Paper towels are damn near impossible to come by anywhere, as well as meat being out in almost every store. I’m 1/6 on grocery store runs where I can find any meat.

Came up on some chicken breasts yesterday :blessed: made some bussin chicken parm like it was my last meal.

I agree that people are overreacting on the food shortage tip, but I can’t lie my eating habits have def changed since this started. Dealing w/ the reality of eating almost no meat over the next month or so

If you want to keep it 100, then you will side with the Democrats.

The Republicans basically want to pass a ONE TIME payment as of right now, while the Democrats want to have that money available for people like you and me, and get a payment now, but also have some available for FUTURE payments as well, instead of that money going to companies. Thats the difference. These big businesses will eat for years to come, while you eat next week.

Do we like this process? Of course not. But Republicans are trying to sneak lots of shyt in more then just your $1k you trying to get. You will be back on here 2 weeks, 1 month, 2 months from now, and they will tell you no. Thats what the fight is about.

Let me get my cash before the bottom falls out.
Congress may let you take $100,000 from your 401(k). What you should know

Congress may let you take $100,000 from your 401(k). What you should know

KEY POINTS
  • The Senate is battling over a coronavirus relief bill, including a measure that permits affected savers to take a hardship withdrawal of up to $100,000 from their 401(k) retirement plan.
  • You would be able to make the withdrawal without the 10% penalty that normally applies to those who are under age 59½.
  • You’d still be on the hook for any income taxes on the amount. However, the measure would give you three years to pay those taxes and replace the money you took out.
