Damn this reflects the fact that a lot of people are really living paycheck to paycheck. My first thought was since many of these layoffs have taken place within the last two weeks, how could people already be struggling to eat. Then I recalled the fact that a lot of Americans don’t have savings and are a paycheck away from homelessness. Everyday I thank God for a my blessings. Cant even imagine living paycheck to paycheck and not having savings to get through, especially now.

Me too
One of the better comments in this thread-
We don't know everyone's situation. Now parents have children at home everyday that have to eat, public transportation is shut down- So no taking the bus with groceries, small corner stores are closed down when larger brand stores open 6 miles away.... so instead of having 5-6 smaller stores we have 1-2 big ass Giants or Walmart that serves 150,000+ people within a 6 mile radius.
Unemployment takes at least 4-6 weeks after filing to receive checks- you have to sign up for workshops as well- Maybe they will waive it???
Even people with jobs and money are not finding much needed groceries like chicken, meat, fish, paper towels tissue at the store.
