I was just thinking about this, and as a consumer the WWE network is piff with access to the huge library and free PPVs. But from a business standpoint it seems like they are giving away too much for too little. I wouldn't kill the network because it seems like a lot of money has been invested to it already but they need to monetize certain elements of it to bring in more money like once again charging for PPVs, but give Network subscribers a good discount as incentive to stay subscribed.

Take your top belt off Randy Orton and watch your company fall to pieces, brehs.

Dawg, I'm afraid after all this shyt, Daniel Bryan may never see the WWEWHC again :sadcam:

Just like they blamed the Miz for the low Survivor Series rate

(I HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO PROBLEM WITH THEM BLAMING THE MIZ FOR ANYTHING)

Psshhh, like article says they're expected to hit the million mark by end of this year then hit 1.5 million. the biggest mistake was offering free ppvs, but hey that's already done. its just gonna be a rough one in the wwe this year...i sense a return of deavor's season

WWE could fix all of this if they did original dramatic programming kind of like Cinemax or STARZ and put naked divas on screen. I know Lana would be down. :shaq:

Can you imagine how many people would watch it. Have it be like that dumb show Fastlane with Bellamy and Tiff Amber Theissan. It could star Kofi Kingston and Randy Orton.

We'll be alright

:heh:

Hogan was just on Smackdown for the SOLE PURPOSE of announcing the Network coming to the UK.

I think WWE is going to find out their domestic fans are simply NOT as loyal & appreciative as the fans abroad. You know, the 10's of millions of fans who only get to see WWE in person once every several years and go ape sh*t when they do.

People in other countries currently get '2nd hand' WWE programming in comparison to us domestic fans....they WILL support the Network b/c it'll put them even with us.

I mean, they gave away one of the biggest money rackers they had (if not the biggest) for less money that they didnt guarantee theyd get back
No.

the logic is, "well surely our fans will deem Wrestlemania alone as being worth the majority of the $60 subscription, so they'll sign up...and then in the final month they get Summer Slam...in addition to the FOUR other ppvs in between" At $10 the number of subs will make up for the drop in PPV price. I see nothing wrong w/ that logic.

Very few things you pay for are "too good to be true", but this is indeed one that is

Only problem is, many traditional wrestling fans are dumb, and many were still asking question like if it was a real TV Network or what is it etc. And the remaining majority of fans today are now used to getting wrestling for free as apart of their cable package, and then watchign free streams on the internet.

No.:childplease:

In business you make projections & goals. It's not an unrealistic projection or goal to expect ppl to spend $10 rather than $60.

Youre giving them a deep discount while making up revenue yourself by getting a higher cut(100% ) & more profit the more ppl who sub

They've pissed off some of their PPV partners with this though. Lol@dudes paying 60 after the 10 a month set up. That's silly.

And one thing has to be said, as great as Vince has been, always has been at everything (the marketing, dealing with cable companies/ppv providers, celebrities negotiations, mending fences with old talent they've openly bashed or ignored), he's almost 70 and it's hard for him to keep a pulse to the street and what is concurrent. ..as booking for most of the last several years has proven.

:heh: apparently nothing since you don't understand why it was a good idea. It's easy to point the finger when you're not considering their logic behind what they did.

They thought they'd get a mil by YEAR END, not right off the bat.
