but this era is probably the most positive era hip hop has had since the p.e. Queen Latifa days. Today's rappers are arguable better role models than I can remember. Kendrick Lamar, Drake, J. Cole, Lupe, Wiz, Wale are genuinely nice dudes despite the tons of hate they get. The rappers we grew up with were way too edgy and byronic in retrospect.

I like Kendrick--I got no reason to lie--I just don't like the way his "good kid" image is played as if he's morally higher than the other cats, in the hood.

This ain't about who's bad, but; you had a cat callin' his album, a "Christian album" because he had religious references. Again, I'm not judging anyone; but, don't call someone a "role model," when they're not.

Kendrick just ain't as deep as some make him out to be. But, a talented artist, none the less.
