I dont see the point

A friend did it and it listed things I had no experience in

Definitely will get shyt tested hard in an interview for Network Engineer if I tell a lie on something I have no past hands on use in

Has anyone else had a good use with it and can explain?

I thought you just feed it your resume now and it organizes it better or something

And are you already a Network Engineer?

No

But when my friend did it, it added shyt i never worked with like Solar Winds
Solarwinds isn’t complicated… could just watch a youtube vid and get a basic understanding

But yeah.. if you not already an engineer then you will probably be questioned.. a lot of OSI shyt at first then probably OJT type questions.. probably with issues they commonly run in to.

Are you CCNA certified? If so, expect maybe those type of questions from a team member. In fact, they’ll probably have a team lead in the later-stage interviews to ask the technical questions but shouldn’t be no difficult than CCNA questions. Might even be able to google or chatgpt practice questions.

As far as the resume with ChatGPT, can’t you just edit it out or add in shyt you are familiar with in it’s place? Did you give ChatGPT information from your own personal resume for it to work with, or was it just a basic networking engineer template?

Tf is PRTG?

Another thing, every place is different and not everyone is going to use the same acronyms, tools, etc the way your company might use them

So it is best to actually sound/spell what youre saying unless it’s a common or universal term like a common protocol or something

Copy and paste your resume into chat gpt. Then copy and paste the job description into chat gpt and ask it to customize your resume to fit the job description. Then ask it to write you a cover letter. Still gotta double check it and edit it a bit but it should have keywords from the job description. They use filters to filter out resumes.

I’m gonna put mine into ChatGPT and Claude soon. I’ll try to remember share which one gives a better output.
