JR as a 3rd or 4th option won't hurt you unless he is just mindlessly jacking. His great defensive effort is an eyebrow raiser though.

Knicks fan here, JR always been a great player and the cavs did a great job of picking him, shump, and mosgov up. But the Knicks did a good job of freeing up cap space.

Beyond that JR is that guy that every contender needs that plays a role and that other team doesn't really prep for who can step up and get hot for a game or a series or hit big shots. You can't begin to compare his role in Cleveland to his role in NY. He's playing the role he's built for...he's not built to be Pippen but he can be a Kenny Smith or a D. Fish.
