People really underrate Puff Daddy's genius on the No Way Out album

That shyt right there is a masterpiece of an album

the beats
the samples
the rhymes
the beat switches
the adlibs
the R&B collabs
every rap feature verse was fire from the Big to Rob to LOX to Twista to Jay
the singles were all hits

legendary album. I'll never understand the hate that it gets

When you cant write your raps(he cant really rap the raps written for him either) you cant expect to get a lot of respect, puff NEEDS a lot of other people's help to do ANYTHING

His hands are unfortunately not completely clean (tupac,quad shooting, hatian jack, jimmy henchman) and rumors are he was getting extorted and also doing dirt himself based on his fam connections

Visibly he was seen as a BIG hanger on even though he was puttin heavy work in, all you see is some goofie nikka hanging around BIG in the videos

He had like 12 other producers and writers working for him on that album, ofcourse it was dope(Props must be given here imo because Puff invented a new way of making music, the whole drake reference track shyt was something puff kind of pioneered)

A lot of booty bandit allegations

All in all the dude does get the props he deserves i feel. I mean come on.
He is still like one of the if not THE richest hiphop Moguls out there. Money>>>>>Propos

that shyt was advertised as the lp's name for months, then all of a sudden it was changed.

and i'm sure i'm in the minority but the o.g. mixtape version of "It's All About Benjamins" was my shyt for so long, that when the final album version came out I couldn't rock with the beat change or biggie or kim being on there. hearing that raw version with just puff and the lox months earlier on doo wop's new testament mixtape ruined the final version for me...

Breh Dre and Kanye can both rap and spit fire. Maybe they didnt write it but they can both deliver some great verses. Have you heard some of Diddy's struggle verses He sounds terrible. Thats where he loses props. The perception of him being lame rapper.

Ive NEVER met a single hiphop fan who dosent LOVE No Way Out though. Everyone loves that album. Except really old hiphop heads....
