I don't have a problem with texts.
I dated a chick who would call me on her lunch break.
I was usually very busy whenever she called but still took time to talk WITH her.
And, most times, she had nothing to say. It was like dead air when she called.
Now, maybe she just wanted to hear my deep soulful and melodic voice, but goddamn.
Me: "So, how's everything going at work?" (In the beginning, that one question would get her going for minutes on end)
Her: "It's alright............................................................."
Me: "Are you ok?"
Her: "Yeah. I'm fine."
Me: "Oh. Ok. So, are you guys busy today?"
Her: "A little. Not too much.........................................."
Me: "Well, it's a little hectic RIGHT NOW."
Her: "Oh yeah?...................................................................................."
Me: "Well, I gotta go. It's so hectic right now."
Her: "Damn! We just got on the phone and you're dismissing me already?!"
Me: "You're not saying anything and I have a lot to do right now."
Her: "Well if you don't want to talk to me, I'll find someone who will."
That was the beginning of the end of that relationship.
