Persona 3 on the PS2 was not an Unreal engine game last I knew. It wasn't a remaster it was a remake.

Very legit, I think what happened with this game is that it being a super anime ass JRPG it didn't have the most wide spread appeal.
But every generation, people buy new systems and ask what games to get, and P5 is constantly recommended. And then they make a version of P5 that's the best version for that level of hardware and a new group of gamers sinks into it.
The Persona 3, 4, 5 director isn't working on Persona 6 nor was Metaphor done by the team making Persona 6. It was the director (Hashino) and some of his staff that worked on Persona 5 that made a new studio to make it. The Persona studio's director is Wada.
They trying to figure out the minimum amount of shine they can put on it to justify an 80 dollar price tag 
I'm honestly surprisingly okay with P6 taking a while simply because they've honestly put out a lot of content since. Metaphor, Reload, now Revival coming. 2027 for P6 sounds about right.
