I'm honestly surprisingly okay with P6 taking a while simply because they've honestly put out a lot of content since. Metaphor, Reload, now Revival coming. 2027 for P6 sounds about right.
Well considering.

  • Metaphor is basically Fantasy Persona.
  • Persona 4 Golden for the vita released in 2012.
  • Persona 3 Portable was released back in 2010. Although Reload was based on the 2006 game.
While P3 & P4 aren't new games. As long as one didn't play the port on modern consoles, you would be getting your first experience with them in over ten years or a first-time experience like me. That's why I didn't touch either when the ports came out. Obviously the remakes weren't a sure thing at the time.

I can rationalize the gap between GTA 5 and 6 considering how much money GTA Online has brought them, but does Atlus really have the juice to make us wait like this? :dahell:
They released SMT5, Soul hacker 2, and Metaphor in that same time frame so its not a Rockstar situation where they only drop 1 game every 10 years.

I played and beat Golden and I'm 100% ready for the remake. I always wanted to play a Persona game with 5's engine and this is just that.
