Shame.

People ask to touch my hair all the time and ask me about it. It really depends on what mood I am in, who they are, and the setting. People are way too presumptuous too.

Sometimes it is just creepy.

Why didnt she swerve just like he did? She saw his hand inching towards her just like he did. Oh yeah, I hate when people touch my hair without asking unless its my man or a hairdresser.

Do you get asked by a lot of people to let them touch your hair?

In general, I see people eye phucking my hair, which I don't mind. A few (white) co-workers have asked and I allowed one to because it was genuine curiosity and I was in the mood. And of course, I've had it pulled by a S/O.

That's bobby lee, I seriously doubt he was offended by someone trying to touch his hair. He's a crazy fukking comedian.

Don't ever touch a black girl's hair. That's a cardinal rule. :rudy:

Anybody touch my hair they liable to get stabbed. :manny:

I don't think this is a black thing, but a personal space issue...maybe even that people lack manners or don't know better.
I do understand what you're saying though...but I thought black women who didn't allow their hair to be touched at all did so because they had a weave they were trying to conceal :manny: or maybe her hair is freshly done in an intricate style
Otherwise, why wouldn't you allow your hair to be touched? There is so much intimacy involved (for me), which is another why strangers aren't welcome for the most part.

i had to knock out a ginger one time mate. i was at the disco getting my drink on and this freckled freak stands up my rear end basically to order a drink from the bar.

looked back at him and said "hey mate back off pal or ill feed you to the crocs in Darwin but not in Darwin right here at the bar mate"

fire bush pushed me and i threw a cuff at him that would dust a spider web thats how much wind was behind it. he hit the floor like a sack of barley and i got kicked out but thankfully not arrested

I pick my hair out and love big hair. I wear a huge fro.

There's a history behind that, white people love to treat us like a sideshow. When they ask or just go ahead and touch our hair they act like we're some kind of freaks out of a circus or some shyt. Plus, touching my hair causes frizz. I barely touch my own hair. It's also just a matter of personal space like you said. I don't even like for people to look at me or breathe next to me so. :manny:
