man i got a soft spot for rodents. i wanted a dog but my mom got me 2 gerbils. they ended up fukking, and they ate all the babies except for the heads, which they gathered in the food bowl. that shyt was disturbing. it looked like a chewed up ear but it was little baby gerbil heads.
i got a hamster after that but he escaped... then i got a guinea pig. that guinea pig was my friend for a good 5 years.. it died after 9/11
i had a couple rats a few years ago, sadly the porphyrin issues were too much (albino white dumbo rats). they were sick all the time, on antibiotics, and eventually died. theyre not really gross, if they like you they dont piss or shyt on you. theyre cuddly, like a shaved squirrel. the tail can be kinda gross, and the males have huge nuts they drag around
but they have so much character. theyre charming little animals
they would greet me when i came home. they groomed each other meticulously. i always washed my hands before and after holding them. never had any skin issues. i let them run around in the bathroom on the linoleum and in the bathtub. they like water if youre gentle lol. i miss my rats
fancy rats are practically domesticated. you can put your hand in the glass with them, they wont bite you in most cases. theyre nothing like that nasty mf in OP. i kill wild rats and mice, but i do feel kinda bad about it. they have quite a bit of intelligence
