Pet peeves about younger people

Dunno if it's a pet peeve or just disgust but I'm just baffled at how bad younger people are with technology. It feels like there's a clear regression from people who have access to every piece of tech imaginable but can't actually do...anything. When I was a kid if my computer broke, I figured it out how to fix it. If AOL went down I learned how to do everything possible to get it back up. I learned how to download music, hide my porn from my parents, download games, ROMs, and fix virtually anything. Hell I downloaded the Japanese ROM for Pokemon gold and silver onto a fukking floppy disc and sold that shyt for money, months before the game came out in America on Gameboy lmao. Today I see my little cousins have a nervous breakdown if the wifi goes down and they can't even just unplug the router and restart it.


I saw an article last week about how younger people are struggling with work-from-home because they can't set up the laptop or get into the company intranet. How you struggling with this shyt in 2023?

Gen Z and Millennials are completely ignorant of anything beyond their lifespan. Ask a Boomer, and they will easily describe the life and culture of the Silent Generation. Ask a Gen X'er and they will easily describe the life and culture of Boomers. I feel like I know so much about the music, TV, hobbies, and fashion of my parents. Kids these days. Pssst. I remember having to break down where the term "Mix Tape" came from, and how a mix tape was made, to some Class of 2015 college grads. The entire time I had this look on my face.
They were born during a time when cassette tapes were still being mass produced.

If you actually have kids and are around kids
You will see they are slightly better than us
