I have no issues with the young. Go ask your folks/elders about how abrasive you were when you were young. Bet you would get the same feedback. To be young is to be stupid. Let them live and learn.

Pet peeves for young folks I have

1. No type of awareness in public… motherfukkers just walking down the streets with their head in they phone

2. nikkas especially the criminal type continue to sit in cars on the street and end up getting smoke

3. Social media got them having this alternative lifestyle they living and not reality

its like pulling fukking teeth talking to them about anything thats not related to frivolous shyt like TV/music/anime. just passive as fukk, uninterested, no zest for life with anything, and no confidence at all when it comes to just being direct or getting anything done. multiple younger non-hood males that i’ve had as subordinates and interns severely lack confidence/assertiveness and got that gay cac voice

My nephew is 20 and is super dismissive on any advice he gets from older heads, he simply does not wanna hear a word from us.

Meanwhile if one of his skinny jean wearing,19 year old friends gives him advice its gospel.

He was trying to get into music, I told him which path to take to get a good understanding and develop an ear for music.....well he quickly gave me the:

went ahead and bought a $1500 macbook pro to "make beats" with....fast forward and he don't know shyt about rhythm, time signatures, scales, chord progressions, notes, etc. etc.

Being young is not equal to being an idiot. Started making beats at 16 and was hungry from advice from older people which made me progress quickly. Old heads tend to overlook the mature young brehs and point to the dumbasses as confirmation bias

I ain't got no problem with young folks. Because I was on that same dumb shyt they on when I was younger too.
But what separate me from these youngins these days is that I was always willing to listen when someone older than me when they're talking, so I can learn something. While these youngins think they know all and don't wanna listen and you know what the OGs be saying "a hardhead makes a soft ass".

not a character trait but i hate that i can’t use my normal pop cultural references when talking to younger folks …it’s like they never watched a movie/show or listened to songs before 2000

I knew all the oldies and watched mad shows before my time and didn’t even have YouTube or stream services
