Never stopped playin' this album. True classic..

I still have Mecca over this album because Mecca had what Pete said was his "true sound". The Main Ingredient is still my shyt, but both Pete and CL said they were forced to make a lot of "radio friendly" cuts on this to fit in with what was going on in '94 back then. There's a good amount of tracks on here that Pete said he can't even listen to, and I'm sure it's the joints that had that softer R&B feel to them.

Mecca was an album where they were able to do whatever they wanted, and it was the soundtrack to my summer in '92. So while I love both, I'm always gonna roll with Mecca as being the better album. That's vintage Soul Brother right there.

Incredible album......Personally I play this more than Mecca & The Soul Brother.

Yeah it sounded real soft, had a lighter vibe, but I loved Pete Rock's smoother style the best and Cl Smooth doesn't get the recognition he deserves. He was slaying those beats left and right.

And in Brand Nubian's case, 'Everything Is Everything' wasn't very good. Black Sheep too. The Das Efx album was weird in that everyone i knew who bought it, loved it but it didn't thrust them back into commercial success.

Black Sheep album was a huge let down(sample clearances and tone of album) but Everything Is Everything is so underrated. It's my favorite Brand Nubian album. Jamar was a beast the beats on that album. Sh!t the album starts off with one the best Brand Nubian songs ever.
