Never stopped playin' this album. True classic..
I still have Mecca over this album because Mecca had what Pete said was his "true sound". The Main Ingredient is still my shyt, but both Pete and CL said they were forced to make a lot of "radio friendly" cuts on this to fit in with what was going on in '94 back then. There's a good amount of tracks on here that Pete said he can't even listen to, and I'm sure it's the joints that had that softer R&B feel to them.
Mecca was an album where they were able to do whatever they wanted, and it was the soundtrack to my summer in '92. So while I love both, I'm always gonna roll with Mecca as being the better album. That's vintage Soul Brother right there.
