To me Salaam Remi is better than Hit Boy and from a production standpoint Life is Good is better than any of these albums…

Hit Boy is a good producer and the beats are fine he’s not a problem but Nas has declined vocally, lyrically, and I don’t like his attempts to ride trap beats shyt just don’t sound right, also his subject matter/themes have become predictable.

I’m also not sure why Nas chose to drop all these albums with the same producer he oversaturated. The albums are cool but all this classic, 4.5 mics shyt is stan talk.
Son shut up. lol. Really.

I love Nas. That Office Hours song... I mean, sheeah, Nas' flow was one of the worst ows I've ever heard from a top lyricist.

I can't believe that shyt went over in the studio.
U saying sons flow was bad on Office Hours? What?? lol. Ok. I’m out this bytch yall nikkas just saying anything. And think by prefacing it with “I love Nas” takes the bullshyt away. Lol

We shouldn’t be in this thread bro. We're giving validity to bullshyt. nikkas in here talking about Pete Rock’s hating is “valid critique” when we all know its nothing but Pete being a bitter bytch lmao.

The pure delusion isn’t worth validation

I think another aspect is that Hit-Boy is good at so many different styles of production that he can seem like a chameleon at times without truly having his own super signature style. I kind of think his signature style is being able to basically do any style. He can do the Just Blaze/Bink style. He can do Preemo or Pete style. He can do Dre or Daz style. He can do Alchemist or Madlib style. he can do 9th Wonder style. And they almost never sound below average. No matter whose style he's doing, it's almost always respectable or pretty damn good.

When I heard Death Row East is really when I started thinking that he can make a beat to sound like any style.

So it’s ok for Pete Rock to be completely disrespectful. But a nikka say fukk Pete’s disrespectful hatin ass and it’s a problem? Pete Rock was one of my top 5 producers for years. And that nikka can Eat Up. He a hatin ass grouch and that doesn’t diminish what he’s done in hip hop but it is what it is. I see a few of u hatin ass nikkas using defending Pete Rock to get ur rocks off but that’s all I really gotta say in this thread.
why what Pete say about another man’s beat selection makes you want to say fukk him lol

I think Nas & Hit should be the only ones to say that about him lol

Just saying

The fact that we're 26 pages deep in a post about someone LIKING another person's tweet is CRAZY.

The Nas/Hit Boy albums have all been varying levels of good, so in that respect, I don't agree with the tweet, and by proxy I don't agree with Pete Rock. But guess what? THAT'S OK! It doesn't have to turn into a whole shark attack on a MF because they don't like something Nas did. Fandom should never be so bad that y'all get so worked up over someone not liking something your favorite rapper made. Pete has done more than his fair share of great work in his own right, he's sort of a character even outside of this Nas shyt, but at the end of the day he's entitled to feel whatever way he wants about music. Y'all be on here day in and day out espousing your opinions on everybody's music, so why is it "hate" or out of line for an actual artist to do the same damn thing? This warrants a 26 page debate on why Pete Rock don't like a Nas album? :mjlol:

People who scream for Alc and Madlib are former backpackers.. the backpackers who hated IWW.

I loved IWW, and still want a Nas/Alchemist album.

Only people that talked sh*t about IWW, were fake fans in the suburbs. People outside of the actual community. Dudes like Rosenberg. IWW was huge on the block. You would hear it being played to death out of cars, Summer '96.

It wouldnt be if this was the first time he said something.

This like his fifth... coupled with a lawsuit against Nas.
