Those songs are a prime example: those beats are not for Nas. Like what type of beats do cats think we be taking bout all these years with ‘Nas picks bad beats’. That’s them. You know it a mile away. He does not sound good over over produced corny type beats. And there’s a LOT of beats like that. That’s where Hitboy differs from Alc, Madlib, No ID etc. Hit boy’s background is different he’s not straight classic hip hop. So the plus to that is his style isn’t redundant he takes chances, he will give you outside the box joints like Abracadabra or a 5 heartbeats sample

I think the weird part in all of this is people seeking out and knowing which tweets Pete is liking and sharing that, to stir up sh*t.
Pete isn't doing or saying anything other legends aren't saying in private. Pete just doesn't care about expressing himself publicly, lol. He's always talked sh*t about what he thinks is wack in production and what he doesn't. He's been doing that since the mid 90's. But dude is easily a Top 5 producer of all-time, so if anyone is qualified to speak on Hip Hop, it's him.
Is he angry and an *sshole most of the time? Definitely. LOL!! He's always been. But he's rarely wrong.

J's a cool dude. I've worked with him a few times. He's slept on like crazy. He did a lot of the Benny tracks on Burden of Proof, and mad Nas joints and Dom Kennedy tracks, that people think Hit-Boy did. Away from his own music, he's been under the radar producing for a lot of people, but just hasn't gotten the recognition yet.
its simple pete thinks he should be getting the hitboy looks but the thing about PR is tried to sue Nas for illmatic around lost tapes 2 lol.
WOAT beat selection is hyperbole. Has he picked some bad beats? Sure. I would say starting with I Am all the way to Nasir each album has had a couple weak or so so beats. But I Am, Stillmatic, God's Son, Untitled and LIG are still mostly well produced albums overall with plenty of good to great beats to outbalance the couple weak ones. Really no different from any other mainstream rap artist of the past 25 years who had some weak beats on their albums, from Jay, X, Em, Jada, 50, Wayne, Drake, so on and on. And since he got with HB the beats have been a lot more consistent.

I just think its unfortunate man cause its disrespecting another young producer in the game like that, who by the way, other great producers respect. Dr Dre, DJ Premier, Alchemist have all shown Hit Boy love. They've worked with Hit Boy. It goes back to that whole different generation thing in rap about supporting each other than dissing each other. I dont know why you would do that other than just on some petty shyt when he wont go on the record with it. And its also dissing every producer Nas has worked with before like Salaam, LES, Large Pro, Buckwild, Q-Tip,Ye, Havoc, Al, No ID, Dre, Trackmasters. Even if you dont fukk with them its kinda lame
He moves generally like an unaware guy. I remember he did a similar thing liking or hinting a tweet when Nasir dropped being mad he wasnt on it....as if what indication gave him idea Nas would put him on a Kanye rollout
