I'm still trying to understand why we re-upped with this guy Arrington for that much. I have to see the specifics. He's genuinely a good dude, but I don't know.

Money....

If it goes through, that probably means Lloyd is done. It also means the Pats are revamping their offense somewhat. You got Beddard or however you spell that guy's name to be the back up tight end for Gronk or Hernandez (and you can even put him on the line and throw Hernandez in the slot), but then we've just upgraded the speed on our WR core all around. Sanders and Jones, are like the first time we've had WRs that run under 4.5s in a minute. Lloyd probably gets cut if this goes through.

Amendola is also quicker and has better hands than Welker. I don't know if it'll work out or what type of offense we'd be adjusting to (more Brady under center I'd imagine where he's the best play-action QB in the game), but coming out with Gronk, Hernandez, Amendola, Sanders and Jones with Vereen or Ridley in the back field isn't the worst thing.

Tight end is Ballard

Supposedly Lloyd wants to stay and is willing to restructure

Llyod is willing to take a paycut to stay...

Patriots receiver Brandon Lloyd is due a $3 million roster bonus by the weekend, and the expectation has been that the club will not pick it up. But that doesn't necessarily mean that Lloyd won't be back with the team, as the sides have entered into talks on a restructured contract, sources have told ESPN.

Sources: Pats, Lloyd talk new deal - New England Patriots Blog - ESPN Boston

He is gone if not. Either way, like you say, the O is changing again this year..

Greg Bedard talks about it here.

Patriots will evolve without Wes Welker - Patriots - Boston.com

Basically it is about winning in the offs. Like what you and @bk where talking about yesterday in the Welker threads...

i doubt the pats sign him to an offer sheet but i'll take the 3rd rounder easily.

there are WR's out there to be had if we lose manny.

trade for baldwin in KC, benn in Tampa, sign DHB for on a 1-year get your value up deal and then draft one in the early rounds of the draft.

Sounds good but I doubt the front office would make any moves. This tweet from Brown makes me wonder if he already knows what is going down

I thought we'd sign him to start on the other side of Talib or something. I guess they don't think Dennard is doing a big :manny:

Dennard's own people think he is going to do 3 months according to Bedard. Still be ready for training camp tho...

(It was a response to someone on twitter a couple days ago. And I am not going to look for it)

EDIT: fukk it, I went and found it...

i guess we are gonna be going 1st, 2nd or 3rd for WR's now.

there's alotta guys that i'd take later on (i can't post the list cause i'm about to hit the gym but i will later on once i have time) but i really don't want to pick a WR in the 1st.

i'll take woods if he fell to the 2nd, which won't happen. patterson is too raw, austin is too frail, allen is still injured and is more of a jack of all trades, master of none which i would never waste a 1st rounder on.

i want jarvis jones or vacarro in the 1st, no more o-linemen. shyt if star falls to us, i take him. i believe that health issue is nothing more than unnecessary worry.

Cason just signed a deal with the Cards btw.

That's a good signing for AZ.Maybe he'll feel a lil better about being in familiar territory and all(went to U of Arizona).

He kinda had some injury problems with the Chargers, but I thought dude was going to be a monster in the pros.Thought he was the best CB coming out in the '08 draft.

If he can get it together in AZ, they're going to have a nasty tandem back there with him and Patrick Peterson
