the big NFC teams are getting STACKED breh

no wonder peyton was too p*ssy to come to the NFC.

any legit NFC team playing in AFC west or AFC east instead of broncos or pats would be the #1 seed in the conference...easily

Hot Rumor: Tampa Bay has offered the Jets the 2nd round pick for 2013 and a conditional 1st round pick in 2014. The Jets want the deal reversed: 1st round choice in 2013 and a conditional 2nd rounder in 2014. Once the parameters are completed, the Jets will contact Revis' agents to work on the long term contract. So far the Jets have received two offers but both are contingent on locking up Revis long term.

Has signing a lot of high priced free agents ever worked in football?

Quarterbacks are what could change your team around immediately but they rarely ever hit free agency

Edit: This article makes it sound like people Blowing Money Fast for no reason on day 1 :wow:

Dolphins made some head scratchers and who knows what Tannehill is. Teams like the Ravens and Steelers let these short sighted teams like the DOlphins( who have a GM that's been on the hot seat for years now) sign these guys to absurd deals while they just restock through the draft. Of course it helps both those teams have QB's. If the Dolphins dont make the playoffs this year- Ireland get's canned and the next GM is stuck with his mess. That's what Idzik is dealing with now.

Yup. Just look at all the NFC Champions in the past decade. Aside from the Giants coming out twice in a four year stretch... there's ALWAYS a different team going to the Super Bowl each year representing the conferene.

Sure, every year its different in the AFC but its only the same 3 teams i.e. Steelers, Colts, Patriots coming out until the Ravens did this year.

Plus, the depth of the NFC >> AFC... the bottom half of the league is mainly AFC squads.

Almighty Garden State
there has been overpayments like every year, but the only 3 that were ridiculous are

Casey (classic case of just spending money to spend it)
Walden (not even a good player)
Fasano (4M for a blocking TE)

Ellerbe is an injury risk, but i have no doubt he can play in a 4-3. its a risk worth taking Dansby wasnt worth his 6.5 number

Sounds like the deal will be done by Friday at midnight either way...since Revis is owed a roster bonus on Saturday.

Revis & Mark Barron in the back, Levonte David in the front 7? :leon:

Ian Rapoport @RapSheet

Bernard Pollard released >>> RT @Crushboy31: Well Raven Nation it's been fun. My time in Baltimore is done... Thank you!

Man, Oz must be working on something HUGE because it makes no sense otherwise. Pollard just signed an extension last year at a very fair rate, so this doesn't even create any cap space.

Only thing I can think of is they're gearing up for a run at Long or maybe Vollmer. But IDK if either of those guys is worth all THESE moves.
