Pollard isnt a cover safety and the resigned Ighedigbo who's younger and cheaper and plays the same role.

It should be that way hes the most important player and has made players look better then they are as long as they have him theyll contend
BUT Welker is extremely important to that team if they lose him and dont get a qw comaprable in fa they are already thin at wr and that offense wont be the same

He won rings when the Pats defense was good it isnt anymore then now have to outscore teams to win they didnt back in the day
Lets say they dont get Ammendolea and just lose Welker your offense is basically two te's now one of whom is always injured
Welker has been a huge part of that offense i dont know how u can deny that,dudes caught more passes then any wr ever in a 6 year span to think Ammendolea will dupicate that no questions asked is pretty ignorant
Just becasue hes another solid short white wr doesnt make him aanywhere near as good as Welker

Yep, like that's not just part of the Pats system where they throw extended run plays do the dude all the time.
His catches aren't 15 yards down the field in traffic all the time, a lot of them numbers are inflated with gadgety throw/run plays.

Its an offensive league now you cant have a great defense especially against the pass..the most you can do is be a great offensive team and have a few pass rushers who can pin their ears back and sack the qb when you build leads
