Redman over Nas is absurd...

Cube is debatable. I’m not mad at that one...

Is it? Redman has AT LEAST as many classics as Nas and not nearly as many mishaps in his discography. He's an excellent lyricist, has a ton of charisma, is a great beat picker, has influenced some of the biggest/best MCs.

Don't see what's so absurd. Even if it wasn't Redman, I feel you think Nas HAS to be top 5. What if I put Pac there instead? Scarface?

Didn't this idiot just say Kendrick was the goat rapper now he saying no one is on rakim's level.

I believe he said Kendrick has earned the right to be in the discussion but the Coli gone spin it as usual.

Either way, that has nothing to do with the fact that if you call yourself a hip hop head and Rakim isn’t at least IN your top ten, you ain’t a hip hop head, you’re a pop culture junkie, and hip hop just happens to be pop culture at the moment.

In short, your opinion doesn’t matter.

Whore, are you really sitting here saying Nas is not light years ahead of Rakim? You are suffering from New York Disease. :aicmon:

Like I said, if people are sitting here giving away crowns based on nostalgia, then give it to Caz. Crown his ass!

Otherwise, shet the fukk up. If Steph Curry said he was inspired by Mark Price, and you saw a lil Mark Price in his jump shot, does that mean Mark Price is better than Curry? :beli:

Doing some shyt first does not mean you're the best ever at it, now THAT IS MOTHER fukkING DUMB, YOU NATHAN'S HOT DOG EATING OUTSIDE OF YOUR NUMBERED PUBLIC SCHOOL IN THE DEAD OF WINTER RETARDED ASS nikka.

Again, shet the fukk up.

You little motherfukkers have been brainwashed by a small collective of Jews and dikk sucking journalists control the narrative.

It's called New York Disease, the same hating ass illness that had fakkit ass backpackers shytting on the greatest era in hip hop ever: 1994-2001.

Same hating ass disease had nikkas mad at Nasdaq for Street Dreams and If I Ruled The World.

Same hating ass disease had nikkas mad at Biggie for saying he was KONY, which is why he talked about being the most hated on Brooklyn's Finest.

Just cornball ass opinions from cornball brothers in Timbs, standing outside bodegas struggling to light Pall Mall loosies while getting slapped upside the head by chicks with voices like Archie Bunker.

The same disease that keeps trying to force us to like ASAP Mob, and we keep saying no, and you motherfukkers keep talking bout "ASAP Whatevs got a new album coming out! :ooh:"

No, motherfukker, damn. :dahell:
Whose alias is this? :prodigylol:

How am I suffering from NY disease and they're both from NY dummy?

Nas nor anyone else, isn't light years better than Rakim. You can save that little spiel for some teenager or 20 year old that doesn't know history. But I know both their discographies extremely well. Is Nas better? Overall, yes. Rakim is a technically a more skilled writer in terms of syllables matching and compound rhyming. Nas is more descriptive and has much more wider content. Rakim has more dope albums, imo, but Nas has more dope songs.

You probably don't know shyt about Rakim other than the 5 songs everybody else with just a novice amount of Hip Hop knowledge knows. If you compare the rhymes Rakim spit on I Got Soul or Eric B For President, of course it's not gonna match up to Nas' from the mid to late 90s. But if you compare the shyt Rakim was spitting in the mid to late 90s to Nas, then yes, you can compare. Rakim had advanced his rhyming style with the time, he just didn't have as much content out, after him and Eric B fell out, he didn't release a full length album for 5 years.

The 18th Letter album is a full display of lyrical dexterity. Nas improved on Rakim's style content wise, he didn't improve on it technical skill wise.

Nah. SirBiatch is way too self-centered and attention starved to ever post from another account :prodigylol:
I remember what it was like to be an 8 day old poster and I didn't have a sig with smilies and all that.
True true. Whoever he is, I just know they're an idiot. The type to type full paragraphs of nonsense and use emojis to make up for lack of content.

Bullshyt.. post the lyrics to My Melody

He wasnt saying nothing more complex than LL.

RAKIM brought in the 5% element shyt which nobody was saying before him that I can think of.. Ill give him that

"Nice big plate of fish which is my favorite dish" was not complex. Yall buggin.

Ra demeanor (laid back) was different than anybody. Ill say that as well.

You picked the wrong song to show his complexity.

:yeshrug:both my sisters got me into music and even then, their oldest tapes were from 88'. I don't remember having the 18th letter and later Rakim works, but I respect what he did, when I went back. I don't think he better than Nas, just because he was the first dude rhyming like that.

nikka please...Reggie put out enjoyable albums and he was a great rapper...why the extra shyt?

This is precisely the condescending shyt that Nas stans need to remove from their worldview.

So Reggie is just the happy go lucky funny blunt rapper who put out albums for fun but not to be taken seriously?

Whut? Thee Album and Muddy Waters hold up against the best Nas albums, that's for starters. Then he has Dare iz a Darkside and Doc's Da Name 2000.

What's so extra about my statement?
