Is this a good place to visit?

Lmao that's where I went to high school. You're better off taking the 20 minute trip to Richmond...

Food is really good but it's definitely economically depressed and the city is surrounded on all sides by backwater racist Crackervilles. The Burg with the shyts, so that energy doesn't actually occur inside the city but people know if you get caught in one of the surrounding areas it could be a bad day...

Home of Trigga Trey, Blair Underwood, Tyra B, Tim Reid, and this new artist Pusha T is pushing, Kairi 1K:

In that video those all blocks in Petersburg he bending...

That name alone sounds a like place no Black person should even be within a mile off.

Lmao except its 77% black, lotta white folk afraid of Petersburg (black people too)...

Census profile: Petersburg, VA

What’s worse Norfolk,Newport News, Portsmouth, or Petersburg.

They all about equal if you swerve thru the streets, if you into street life Virginia has some of the most authentic places in America. Richmond is one of the most dangerous cities in US history, but has gotten progressively better since the late 00s. It's the OG city for street life in VA...

I never felt Bad Newz was that bad, Hampton was another story. Likewise Portsmouth never felt that bad but Norfolk felt worse. None of these places felt worse than Richmond hoods, but they all had a similar degree of drama...

Petersburg is just a smaller version of Richmond, over half the city is a ghetto....and for reference I've sold drugs and/or had issues with cats in Petersburg and Norfolk, very familiar with those places...

Kind of funny how southern they sound in that video and much less southern when Trey Songz did this old video

For real? Is there any good places to live in Va?

Yes I’m sure there is. I know many folks in Ny who moved down but a lot of them seem to go to the Virginia Beach area.

northern VA is pricey so if you are one of those career driven places than northern VA Is a good place to be in an area of a lot of professionals

I never understood when people said Trey don't sound southern, one of his first videos you can hear it:

You could hear it in Tyra's first video too:

Or maybe I'm just used to the accent. But VA is funny, you get a wide range of accents in alot of the cities more than most places. The average Richmonder doesn't sound as southern as the average Burg cat, and Rich is only 20 minutes away lol. But you still get the variance in Rich too...

D'Angelo doesn't sound particularly southern but he has a Richmond twang:

Then of course you have Skillz who doesn't sound particularly southern but has a Richmond bop too:

not trey Songz himself but the song itself.

And as far as Trey Songz speaking he doesn’t have an up north accent but he def doesn’t have a deep southern accent as well.

Yes, it's the greatest state in the South, except it's not completely southern, in which case I'd say it's one of the great East Coast states, period. Smack in the middle of the East Coast...

Richmond and Virginia Beach, in that order, are the two greatest cities easily. There are plenty of other nice spots depending on what you're after but Rich and VB are as good as it gets in Virginia by a mile...

My sister had a bad experience there. She was there working for a film project and couldn’t wait to leave. I drive by Richmond all the time on the highway and it’s one of those cities I want to stop by one day and explore similar to how I did in Charlotte.
