yo that test doesn't prove anything.. I heard about the atom question, maybe at school but, for sure from a youtube video, lol.

laser I heard from a cac randomly. Radioactivity was probably on a movie or something. Nano technology is common sense. The rest- wu tang prolly said it or something, idk.

The only one I remember from school is about the continents.

:ehh: i knew i would get at least those 3 wrong, the only that surprised me was the laser one , but it was extremely easy , am going to give this test to some of the 7th graders i work with see how they do

I got 1 wrong about atmosphere. I knew the other questions, but I swear I didn't learn that sh1t in Middle school, not even college.. just randomly heard about all that.
I can't knock people who got 3 or 4 wrong, because I don't know how I even knew any of that random sh1t.

Good thing this isn't a real IQ test.

O wait, i didnt get a perfect score. I misread. I got 1 wrong. The one about nails rusting being a chemical reaction. :weirdo:

They might do better than you. I used to be a test admin and I found that people in HS are smarter about most of the things that you would ever test a person on..... than the average adult over the age of 25.
For example most grown people suck at math.. even basic math. You forget so many things because ur brain has to deal with important and relevant sh1t (imo)

Probably the one of the few times I'll ever be in the top percentage. How the fukk so many ppl get Nitrogen wrong? Think about it. The only other options were Helium, Oxygen and CO2. Oxygen is crazy flammable so thats out.... We aint speaking in high pitches so Helium is a no go.... and CO2 is kills us... the only other option is Nitrogen even if you dont know wtf that shyt is:jawalrus:

got that atom shyt wrong...thought atom was a pronoun or synonymous with electron...like atom = particle..particle = electron...i was about to choose nitrogen 'cause i thought i saw it bfore but chose hydrogen instead...

its not surprising, as you get older and more :flabbynsick: if you're not involved in a field, you start to lose some of the general knowledge you learned from it. Plus people are learning more and more STEM at younger ages. My sister and I went to the same HS and I saw her reading about Epigenetics the other day.

I already feel :flabbynsick:

:heh: @ this reasoning.

They must change some of the possible answers, because I'm sure Hydrogen was also a possible response. H, He, O, N. I could understand someone picking Hydrogen... it's the most abundant element in the rest of the universe. And we need Oxygen to breathe, so I could also see someone saying that. This is one of those questions you either know or you don't.

But how did you guys not know an electron is a part of an atom? That shyt is just basic.

i attribute this to test taking skills. You exhibited what i've found a lot of people can't do. And that's eliminate WRONG answers to arrive at right answers. Even in my professional career i've noticed this skill, this seamingly simple skill is rare. IMHO if you have this ability you have the mental capacity to do anything.

A lot of these questions were things i picked up outside of school. I know about nitrogen from scuba diving. I knew about fracking from HL
