Let's ask peytons old owner about it

"You make the playoffs 11 times, and you're out in the first round seven out of 11 times. You love to have the Star Wars numbers from Peyton and Marvin (Harrison) and Reggie (Wayne). Mostly, you love this."

Then Irsay flicks up his right hand again.

The lone year peyton won a chip he threw 7 ints in the playoffs to only 3 TDs. :scusthov:

You forgot the part where he said Brady won with mediocre numbers because of the TEAM around him, not because of him being some superhuman clutch QB in the playoffs. Not some shot at Peyton

"(Tom) Brady never had consistent numbers, but he has three of these," Irsay adds. "Pittsburgh had two, the Giants had two, Baltimore had two and we had one. That leaves you frustrated.

That shyt is dumb. Thats a thumb rule for any good QB. Give them a good ST and D and its hard not to win SB's...

I cant wait to see the excuses you Peyton sympathizers make this year when he bombs it in the playoffs. He hasn't been able to win the big games his whole life. He never won a high school championship. Never won a college championship. He couldn't beat UF ONCE in college when the UF vs TEN rivalry was huge. And in the midst of all his brilliance he's shown as an NFL qb he still has only one ring to show for it, only reason being because he was playing rex fukking grossman.

Dudes a great player but he's never been a big game quarterback.

Say what yall want but both Peyton and Brady only won Super Bowls because they had a all-star defense. The year Peyton won the SB, the defense carried him in the playoffs with his poor play. And Brady only won win he had a ALLSTAR DEFENSE from top to bottom. The only person to win without a defense is Drew

People like going back the Pick-6 during the 2010 Sb against the saints, When Reggie Wayne himself has acknowledged multiple times HE RAN THE WRONG ROUTE. On a precision offense Peyton let the ball out of his hand as Reggie was working the top of his route like he should, just one wrong move changed the course of history

Colts score on that drive and win their 2nd ring the Brady/Manning arguments are over. Nobody would be comparing them with now only a 1 ring difference and Peyton better in all statistical categories. Thats why its stupid to judge QB's on 1 or 2 plays in the playoffs when so many different factors go into things happening. You have to use the total of their careers and consider what other players did or did not do to contribute to the results

hold your horses, even if the colts did score on the drive, there's no reason to believe breezy wouldn't drove right down the field again on that swizz cheese Defense and hartley wouldn't of hit the GW

He didn't run the wrong route. Tracy Porter was sitting on it. And the Colts wouldn't have won the game, they would have tied it.

Saints offense didn't exactly set the world on fire that game. 7 of their 31 points was on that last pick 6, and another 7 came off a short field from a onside kick to start the 2nd half. Colts defense has far from swiss cheese that game even with an injured dwight freeney, but you're right in saying a TD on that drive would have not given the colts a win automatically

Reggie Wayne ran the wrong route, Porter wasn't "sitting" on anything he was fortunate Wayne made the break in the wrong direction. This is common knowledge for Colts fans and not something I will argue with you about. Look it up yourself

So they didnt ask him to do too much during the regular seasons when he had "star wars" numbers. It was they asked for too much during the playoffs :ld:
