I made the move to Charles County and although it was the very last place on my list of places to move, it has been the best decision.

Charles County is the perfect blend of suburban and rural living. I'm tucked away in a quiet area with farms, wildlife, woods/green space, and winding roads with no stop lights for miles until you get to the main roads. Property taxes are low and I hear the schools are really good. It's very attractive to families and those who want to get away from the hustle and bustle of DC.

The people are coming and my area is currently expanding with new developments popping up out here.

Charles county is the place to be. It's cheaper to live there in D.C and have an income of people from D.C, P.G county , and from the NYC tri state.

Even the working class is on the come up. There scooping firefighters, bus drivers and military out of high school.
Of course it has the salary of people in DC, people live the counties and work in the cities :dahell:

But PG county still has about a million people while Charles is about 150k. So it's hard to compare the counties as a whole.

I brehs that been sitting on commercial space for years in Baltimore waiting for that come up.
They don't have anywhere for the people in those distressed neighborhoods to go. Baltimore county is not trying to absorb them. Nowhere for them outside of Glen Burnie in Anne Arundel and Columbia is maxxed out section 8 and rent is higher in Howard county then the rest of Baltimore metro area.

Charles County is splendid -- if you love living far out in the country, far from everything, and your interests is going to work and staying in the house

It is but if I move out there I have to be remote or work in southern MD. I refuse to be in that godawful traffic everyday

Also Southern MD needs a Wegmans

I used to live in Glen Burnie, It's still halfway decent out in the Severn area.

Route 5 is completely built up but there's still the old southern Maryland in areas like La Plata.
