The production is mediocre. All the beats sound cheap. He should do an album with Alchemist and ditch the corny voices

Monch always had a Nas-esque "ear" for beats. Theres the odd soulful banger, but its usually very dreary, understated production that puts the attention on the lyrics. I dont necessarily agree with the choice but it almost seems intentional at this point

Regardless, Im diggin this album much more than Desire (which had some great moments, but was uneven), W.A.R. was aite but didnt have any real high-points to me. This album has a consistent theme throughout and the beats accentuate that. Its his best work since Internal Affairs imo

Haven't heard this yet but Monch has sort of settled for C to B level production post Internal Affairs. I mean, I like Khrysis, Mr. Porter & Marco & Lee Stone as much as the next guy but Monch albums should command the DJ Premier's, Pete Rock's & Showbiz's of the rap game.

Why would you want to listen to Premo and Pete Rock in 2014. Presume you mean Alc and Madlib.
