Oprah fukked up by leaving while she was hot, and that was how Mase screwed up. With that said, she did the same dumb shyt that NBC did with Leno. They had him leave even tho his show was the top dog but the execs were worried about some unknown future. Oprah walked while she was #1 and its almost like the flop of the network was "payback" for her costing ABC (and its affiliates) all of that automatic bread for the 4pm time slot leading into the 5pm news. Her audience didn't follow her to the new channel on some Howard Stern shyt and she's learned the hard way that it aint easy being an owner, even tho Discovery owns half of the shyt, but its her name thats on the line
She left her main show without grooming a successor and then all of the shows on her channel are fukkin trash. Tons of Tyler Perry bullshyt and reality nonsense like the Lindsay Lohan joint that has turned out to be a headache. And, her channel is in the boonies and unless you fukk with Oprah like that, you weren't looking for her shyt. She could've pioneered the same "fukk cable TV" shyt that WWE is on and started a streaming network and pulled in all of the bytches that subscribe to her magazine and set up sub-channels with in that shyt for her book club, for Gayle, for her interviews with the "main" channel being her as the ring master. That shyt woulda pulled in tons of bread and she wouldn't have had to worry about ratings or getting shytted on by CACs who are in their feelings about her calling her shots at her pace. Instead, she's prolly stressed the fukk out more than when she had her 1 show on ABC and at some point she will get too old for this shyt and STILL has no successor to take the brand after she cant do it any more.
Meanwhile, Ellen is dykin out in her former spot (but not on Oprah levels) and gunning for a total take over, which will never happen because you cant appeal to that housewife crowd and be out there scissoring other bytches. It didn't work with Rosie, so it won't really work with her.
Either way, Oprah needs an overhaul to make this shyt really pop off and Tyler Perry shows aren't helping.
