Pharrell by a light year easily.

He’s been far more consistent than Timbo, can write songs, arrange vocals, produce solo, can make music in many genres, has adapted with the times, extended his reach outside of music into another industry, already in the Songwriter’s Hall of Fame, has a producer of the year Grammy (Timbo does not) and has continually put our content well beyond the apex of The Neptunes peak popularity.

Pharrell is easily a better artist. Producer though? No.

Timbaland has proven to be more successful across genres than Pharrell has. Timbaland produced one of Bjork's biggest songs in "Earth Intruders". I don't even know what people would classify One Republic as, but Timbaland produced their biggest song in "Apologize" and that song introduced them to the world thus introducing Ryan Tedder. Timbaland put other producers on.

And even beyond Timbaland's peak, he still produced Justin Timberlake's 20/20 Experience, which is bigger and more acclaimed than any album Pharrell has produced since 2013. Timbaland's work on Beyonce's self titled album was bigger than Pharrell's contributions same as his work on Jay's MCHG. Most recently, his production on J. Cole's "Amari", which was a beat Tim made on the fly that he accidentally deleted, but Cole wanted it, peaked at #2 on the Hot 100.

Timbaland had multiple hits throughout 2007-2013. Find me five Pharrell produced hits during that period. Timbaland was easily bigger than The Neptunes in the 90's. The only time where the Neptunes were bigger is 2002-2006 and Timbaland still had huge hits during that period. How were they more consistent?
