Expecting Phil to erase decades of losing tradition and awful management in 1 year :mjlol:

Breh he made a super bad trade. He could have strong armed Dolan to release Felton and waited at least until the trading deadline to see if he wanted to get rid of Tyson. If that wasn't the case why bring Melo back? I'm sorry 5-25 is unacceptable for a team with 2 max players :yeshrug:

Phil has a lot of influence. He has Dolan on lock right now. He 100% constructed this current team and put Fisher at the helm.

I have hope because I've seen shyt teams turn into championship winners. Look no further then the 70' Knicks to see that young talent, veteran leadership, and superstar talent are the keys to success, and that is what Phil is planning to do
If Phil constructed the team, what does ur GM do???

Phil could have gotten McDermott(or just the 16th & 19th picks) and rights to Mirotic (and probably a 1st) if he signed/trade Melo to Chicago

He fukked up royally there

A good coach could make them work together. I never like that excuse of them two not working together.
Nah, Carmelo Anthony stops the ball. He is the ultimate 1 on 1 player in the NBA imo. He can do whatever he wants, but it goes against what made amare so great on the suns. Amare needs a pass first PG who keeps the ball moving at all times and make shots when needed. The Knicks have that in Calderon, but Carmelo Anthony is the focal point of the offense that demands the most shots so it stops the flow. That's what made amare such a threat on offense in the past

But he fukked up by trading Tyson for fukking Calderon and Dalembert :snoop:
Jose fukking Calderon and Samuel Dalembert :dead:
Meanwhile, Tyson looking like a top 5 center in the L right now :mjcry:
Trade a locker room leader and a guy that held players accountable for 2 :flabbynsick: players, brehs
he aint look top 5 center on the knicks and that's all that matters. Tyson really dont wanna play anywhere else but Dallas lets be honest here

Knicks fans are by far the most dedicated fans on the board but i swear sometimes you guys are like fukkin children :mjlol:.. Or even worse.. like women

Stop kidding yourselves, guys. You Knicks fans had already gone sour on Chandler from what I saw on the Coli the past 2 years. And now you want him back, already? At least Dalembert's contract come off the books soon an Calderon still has some value.

IMO as an outsider looking in i say they should have kept Chandler and have said Chandler was the glue that kept that team together long ago. BUt problem is ... he was playing in New York. A place where expectations are always ridiculous and fans are beyond delusional oh and by the way: They have no patience. Can you blame FAs for not wanting to be there?

Carmelo is not a max player. Phil should have let Melo walk if they couldn't get anything for him in a S&T. I understand why he didn't do it though. The dumbass Knick fans would have killed him.
Yup

And to be fair Carmelo IS a max player. Just that not all max players are the type that can carry a team.

I dont feel bad for Phil because he knew what he was getting himself into. He had to resign Melo because Melo still has value. You cant just strip yourself of a talent like Melo and hope you can just replace it overnight. Best move is to sign him.. and perhaps trade him later down the line.

If he played the right way then yeah, but he doesn't. How many players in the league are really worth the max? There are at least 15 players that are clearly more valuable than him. He is past 30, a black hole on offense, doesn't make his teammates better, a mediocre defender and a poor playoff performer. I don't see any team winning with Melo being their best or second best player.

Name them.

I, myself can say about 10 but not necessarily 15 without taking much time to think about it. THen again a player's value varies from one team to another.
