IMO that makes Kobe greater. I respect the guy who did more with less. All Jordan did was win the genetic lottery. Kobe was a SELF-MADE man.

Jordan was cut from his high school team, Kobe went to the league at 18, and his dad was Professional Ball Player

Jordan defied the odds based on pure desire

nikkas keep perpetuating myths. he didn't make varsity as a FRESHMAN. he was not cut. and lets not like everyone makes varisty as a freshman. Jordan just perpetuates that myth cause he likes to create challenges in his mind when they ain't really there. look no further than his HOF speech where he shytted on nikkas from high school, college, and the pros eventhough everyone was there to proclaim him gawd. :scusthov:

why u makin shyt up? http://www.basketball-reference.com/players/b/bryanko01.html

Kobe Bryant career stats: 25.5 PPG, 5.3 RPG, 4.8 APG, 45.5 FG%

and like I've posted in a million threads, the only reason Kobe's FG% looks much lower than Jordan is cause he took so many more 3-pointers in his career than Jordan. For the mathematically challenged, hitting more 3s at a lower percentage than 2s, will get you MORE points. thus a higher scoring efficiency. something you won't be able to tell from traditional FG%.

Career TS% (combines 2fg%, 3fg%, and ft%)
Kobe - 55.5%
Jordan - 56.9%

Career Points Per Shot Attempt
Kobe - 1.300
Jordan - 1.316

1.4% difference in terms of TS%. 0.016 difference in terms of points per shot attempt.

If Kobe was as SELFISH as Jordan, he woulda averaged 30ppg for his career as well. Instead our gawd was generous and allowed Shaquille Oneal to also average 27+ppg for most of their first 7 years together. Meanwhile Jordan never let a teammate average more than 21ppg.

how great is our gawd :blessed:

Except Jordan averaged more PPG on higher overall TS% so their difference in overall efficiency is clear. Especially when you realize thay Jorsan retired twice and has his overall efficiency brought down by that whole "Wizards"
thing.

Kobe isn't better or greater than Jordan.

kobe already got way more miles on his legs than jordan did at that time. u gonna make excuses for kobe this year if his ts% dips?
