You sound stupid though especially when 86% of those murder victims in philadelphia are black. Why are you excited about this shyt again?

I moved from Philly close to 6 years ago, but since I left more and more people I know been murdered.
It's a clout game. Young nikkas with easy access to guns doing shyt for social media, and to put in their music, and no opportunities to make a decent living.
I'm glad I escaped that shyt. Graduated at the start of the recession and was making 8 dollars an hour. I might've been on that type time if I was in the same situation now.

Chicago had 1 million plus black residents during the crack era.. Now people here champion the murder rate has gone down since then, but they fail to mention the black population went down to 750k though..
most of that 250k just moved to the south suburbs and still be un the city all the time.

I don’t know why people are in denial. They act like the crack era was this anomaly of social issues that would never repeat itself again. Smh. Now here we are with fent taking over, a global pandemic, homelessness everywhere, income disparities and supply chain issues. Crime going up is one of the results of these combined issues. The internet and the culture from “Crime Clout” doesn’t help either. We gotta save the youth.

I think his point was, it doesn’t matter how much more violent the 90s were, when many American cities and smaller towns are currently trending towards those 1990s murder rates as we speak and some cities(ala Philly) are surpassing these rates. Should we wait for Chicago to reach 1,000 murders to then be like “Ok, NOW we have a problem.”
