As much shyt as people give the South. Their neighborhoods and quality of life beat the northeast and Midwest by miles

I went to Cleveland for the first time 2 years ago....

That visit was horrible ..

I actually felt depressed during that so called vacation...

Food was disgusting....... Scenery wasnt good at all

I’ve always had a problem with statement like this. Y’all need to clarify what y’all mean by “looks better” because

1.) African Americans are the same people for the most part.
2.) Since we all on the east coast I’m assuming most of y’all have the same southern background lol.

It’s like me saying New York has better looking Haitian girls than Florida even though we are all the same exact people



For the record all cities with a large amount of black people have beautiful women to me and that includes Philadelphia.

Actually, historically speaking, the African American professional classes used to distinguish themselves from the rest of the black populace by their features (skin color, hair grade, etc.) The more sharper (western/european) your features were, the more "desirable" you were considered. And they would choose their mating partners based off of these characteristics. So you had all of these "desirable" people mating generation after generation to keep those desirable features. There was a saying that, the higher you went up in status in the black community, the more attractive the people got. Hence, there is a reason why Howard University is known for all of it's attractive women as opposed to, let's say, Lane College. It's a different demographic. I'm not hipped to all of the black history in Philly but I would assume, in general, the black community would look a bit different, than neighboring DC, which due to Howard and the government, had a sizeable black professional middle class population.

Philly got the worst looking women on the east coast. Even worse than most East NY broads.

DC got them by light years in terms of quality of life and entertainment for black people

DC has a large black middle class, and also a lot of black immigrants from all over the world settle in DC. With more wealth, comes people taking better care of themselves and just looking better overall. Don't know what the dynamics are in Philly, but the times I have been the women just didn't seem to be as attractive as down here.

If that’s the case then that makes sense but usually when I hear someone say a city has better looking black people I assume it’s by appearance because facially I have yet to go to a city with black people and saw a difference.

The only difference of course is how they present themselves so with that being said the blacks in DC present themselves better simply because of the large professional class.

But at the same time what’s the difference between a black women born and raised in Southeast DC vs a black women born and raised in North Philly? Or Southside Chicago or the South Bronx?

It boils down to the food that they eat. DC geographically is below the Mason Dixon line, where Black women eat cornbread and bicuits, or traditional African foods. Plus the quality of life even in Southeast DC is better than most of Philly, even though there some rough looking brehettes down there.

It boils down to geography, job market, gym habits that stems from the job market, and diet. I see a lot of DC women working out, even more than many NY women, than I do from Philly.

When people say better looking black people, I think they mean just that. Atlanta got a whole bunch of good looking black folks and it goes beyond just how they present themselves.

For the cities that you listed, there is a difference between them all, IMO.

In the end, it boils down to economics.

Right. It's that clustering in which I was referring. Atlanta's has a sizeable professional population plus they get an infusion of good looking top tier blacks from elsewhere.
Philly's problem is that it's insular. It doesn't get an injection of new people coming in to mellow out the local population.
