Real live, if Philly had a large HBCU or two and if I wasn’t mired by expensive ass outta state tuition, I would’ve been down to relocate to that city for the reasons you described. It’s more exciting and poppin than the country ass Maryland Eastern Shore that’s for damn sure Be mad boring asf off campus unless you tryna go up the road to Salisbury for the mall or take an hour trip to Ocean City.

I would live in Philly the difference between Philly and DC or the "DMV" is there are alot of HBCU's in the "DMV" that alone attracts alot of good looking black women from all over even pretty joints from Philly go to school at Morgan, Howard, UMES, Coppin, Bowie. Alot of people who go to one of the HBCUS in the area just end up staying and living in MD

I wouldnt take your comments about Philly serious since your criteria for judging the city sounds like something a 5 year old would say.

Philly is a great city, great architecture, decent transportation and great neighborhood style food. the rowhomes you speak about look great depending on the area. Detroit has ghetto areas where old mansions look like trash. Does that make the house ugly? No its the area that caused it to look like that.

Learn to analyze cities better and youll probably enjoy them more

Philly got the worst looking women on the east coast. Even worse than most East NY broads.

DC got them by light years in terms of quality of life and entertainment for black people

Quality of life? explain further because just recently DC was one of the top ten most dangerous cities in the country and Southeast DC is comparable to any ghetto in Philly. I think its unfair to compare a bunch of successful blacks folks in Maryland and DC to ghetto folks in Philadelphia.

Plus people on these forums are always complaining about how expensive things are. DC is by far more expensive than Philly

This is a funny ass thread. I like to explore and wanted to check out Philly just to see what it's about. but based on these responses

One thing that I cant stand about the people who glorify DC/ATL is that they compare the transplants in these cities to natives in other cities lol.

Actual DC native black people who live in the Northeast/SouthEast is nothing to brag about. Same goes for Atlanta with real Atliens.

II love both places but in reality both of these cities are what they are today because of blacks from other locations coming and creating a name for themselves.

I personally know a lot of people who went to Howard and Spellman who arent from either city and ended up staying and living in both places.
