Upper Darby isn't even close to being considered one of the nice parts of the city. Old City, Rittenhouse Square, Northern Liberties, Logan Square, parts of South Philly are all relatively beautiful parts of a NE American city. It's nowhere near as nice as the really nice parts of NY, and as far as NY making Philly irrelevant, it's definitely a good example on an international scale, but true history buffs will always want to visit Philly, even international tourists. Parts of Philly are absolutely disgusting, but if you have money there are places to live that are really nice and on par with just about anywhere.
I’d be down to live in philly just cause of the proximity to all the other big east coast cities :yeshrug: NY is a 2 hour drive...3-4 hours to the DMV...Jersey is 30-45 minutes away...not a bad location at all if you wanna live up north and be in a black majority city...and a $1000 will get you a nice spot in university city :ehh:

Brooklyn keeps on taking it.
ATL and the DMV heavily black, and they got better quality black women. Philly reminds me of the OLD NYC when women were rough talking.

Face it, the northeast ain't it for black women outside of a small handful of areas (DC, NYC). Philly just dusty and nasty.
actually the northeast is the best region for foreign black people. In case you forgot.

Breh, foreign black women in the DMV are :ohlawd: in every sense. I'm talking about all parts of Africa, the Caribbean, and so on.

In majority of the black areas down south, there is opportunity for development and generational ownership.

Quality of life? explain further because just recently DC was one of the top ten most dangerous cities in the country and Southeast DC is comparable to any ghetto in Philly. I think its unfair to compare a bunch of successful blacks folks in Maryland and DC to ghetto folks in Philadelphia.

Plus people on these forums are always complaining about how expensive things are. DC is by far more expensive than Philly

That's the problem: there isn't much of a space for successful black neighborhoods or a black professional crowd in Philly.

Personally I find the LOCAL hood women from NYC, DC, Philly and Baltimore to be trash :manny:
I think Philly and Baltimore catch a bad rap because visitors are more likely to see their local women
As opposed to NYC and DC where a tourist is more likely to be in major nightclubs with the best of the best transplant women there
Go deep into the Bronx or Queens, or Anacosta and tell me their women are better than North Philly :mjlol:
Not going happen. You can't be comparing chicks from North Philly to Howard homecoming women or chicks from some fancy club in Manhattan

The comments about there not being night life is just dumb, just say you didn't know where to go and leave it at that. Philly has a huge music scene as the birthplace of Neo Soul and all the universities in the area ensure there is always somewhere popping on the weekends.

Queens? you are trolling perhaps you should switch that to Brooklyn because Queens has the best and highest income black communities in NYC. Queens black people are known for being stuck and bougie since they live in suburban neighborhoods.

Also all hood woman (personality wise) are trash. What difference does it make?

Im born and raised in Brooklyn the most Caribbean spot in America. I doubt DC is touching Brookyn/NY in that category plus NYC has islanders from every island and Afro caribbean latinos also. It seems that the DC caribbean population is mainly Jamaican (Comparable to The Bronx)

DC gets a W for African woman. DC clearly holds it down for Africans and despite the high African population in NYC, I wouldnt dare say they are moving like the African brothers in DC or even Atlanta for that matter. But its Caribbean community isn't diverse enough in my opinion. The cities holding down for the Caribbean are easily NYC, Boston, Jersey, Toronto, Montreal, and Southern Florida.

:mjlol: if were talking about BLACK women, DMV is higher than NYC. im talking regular black women not im mixed rican, haitian, with a chinese trinidadian grandfather and an indian grandmother" type of women.

Black women in the DMV the baddest by far in the US.

I'm trying not to get this thread sidetracked, but there is a lot of low-key c00ning of some "black"/mixed raced women being considered as black in the dating scene. Sometimes, a bunch of races mixing be promoting a lot of self hate.

But DC also has a bunch of southern black women as well that are :myman: material

Yes there is. Philly is actually hot with developments right now. The city is almost half black and is capable of doing it.

Harlem was one of the worst ghettos in America in 70s and 80s. Despite blacks losing numbers, there has easily been a lot of African American professionals moving into Harlem, Bed Stuy, Forte Green, Clinton Hill. I know a few. As the city develops you will see a rise in that crowd especially since the cost of living beats DC/NYC and the fact that DC is not even 2 hours away from either city is great for someone who wants to go to NYC/DC for events and expanded nightlife.

This is a fact. In the northeast you can enjoy the whole region due to the proximity of other cities. I can literally spend my whole day in Philly/DC right now, enjoy both locations and still make it back home to NYC before midnight.

When I visited the West Coast last year, and drove to LA from Vegas I didnt realize how far and spread out the country is in other regions.

Maybe thats why I love the East Coast so much lol.

The African community in the DMV is second to none in America. I love East African women and sexy Nigerian/Ghanian women. Even South African women be bad. You don't see that in NYC, and if you a shade lighter than Usher, they think you Dominican. Yeah, there are a lot of Caribbean people in NYC, just that the varied African population is VERY limited.

But it is better than Philly in every way.

Philly is the Florida of the whole Notheast region. No culture, no progressiveness, no style, narrow streets w/cobblestone (wtf). land of the overrated cheesesteaks, accents and dialect weird af, no real momentum In hip hop besides latching on to rappers or whatever movement is going on in other cities -(beanie, freeway - rocafella, Meek - mmg (Miami). One street and one park stretching miles where everyone gravitates to as far as recreation.

Im from ny , relocated to the dc metro area so I know dc, Baltimore, etc . I f with Baltimore all day bf I ever step foot in philly again. Most dejected place I’ve seen in life. Never in the history of never have I heard anyone say - Let’s go to philly to hangout. DC - yes. NY- yes, BMore- yes. More like I’m passing thru philly to get to nj or ny might as well be a rest stop.

Philly has no culture? You are trolling. Funny thing is the hilarious criteria you used actually describes Baltimore other than the narrow roads. You just sound like a hater.

And this is supposed to be a Pro Black site :blaff:

Mocking black women in a city because they don't fit a certain look and clowning black people for living in a majorly black city because of their limited economic opportunities :blaff:

You nikkas sound like the cacs you work for :blaff:

Facts and i do feel that ATL has the biggest issue with blacks mocking others in other locations. ATL blacks are the cacs of black america. New Yorkers are cocky also but not on some black on black cockiness, more like just flat out NYC cockiness.

But i always peep black folks from ATL acting like the Wakundas of Black people.
