makes no sense.

reason rappers get taxed in NYC, L.A. Miami, etc is because those are the entertainment capitals of the country .rappers need to go to those cities to conduct business.

Philly is a piece of shyt city, a rapper can make millions, tour, interviews etc without ever stepping foot in Philly.

Read the bolded in my original post ...You're making exactly my point....crips and bloods are in LA they know people have to go through LA to make moves so they are taxing ....another example bow wow is under Wackstar...Wack Star and Wack101 "manage" artists aka tax artists for protection to move around....those guys arent in board rooms like Apple drafting deals or handling day to day shyt... it's really not hard of a concept to grasp..this is actually pretty common knowledge and is not really debatable....all im saying is i've never seen a philly artist claiming a set outside of the city and we've had tons of rappers

So basically LA where it all started....the leaders/OGs out there shifted their focus from dealing to extorting artists...

They know rappers/singer have to come to LA and move around (record/perform/club appearances).....so essentially they get money extorting them where artists have to pay the hood tax and in turn they get instant clout and protection....that's why you see soulja boys and the chris browns of the world all of a sudden reppin blood or crip

Beefs between artists are usually settled by the OGs that "represent" the them not the artists themselves

In Philly gangs don't fly here ...there's no bloods or crips or any of that. Strictly neighborhoods and "Ol' Head affiliation" This is way Game and Wack and them hate Meek so much cause they can't tax him or have him claiming blood and shyt....he moving squad deep and calculated...and his Ol' heads are certified BM & JBM .....

Long story short I don't really see artists from other cities that fall into this category maybe Oakland? (I see Oakland as Philly's sister city lot's of similarities).....

So whenever i see rappers and singers from all over living in cali and all of a sudden reppin a set i just shake my head... it's sad they are acting hard but are getting extorted heavy.....

The same could be said for the Lox they not paying nikkas when they visit LA. I don’t remember any gangs getting into 50’s pockets either.

I think there are just exceptions to the rule from every city bro, not just philly IMO :yeshrug:
50 cent got alot nikkas he paying off. He even said that in his car interviews

Na
This is actual factual bruh trust me I am tight with a lot of industry cats....Im not saying all rappers in every city...im saying I can't think of a philly artist that claim blood or crip while other cities can't say the same ...if you don't think bloods and crips aren't taxing artists in LA then I don't know what to tell you bruh.

I was alluding more to the fact that no one coming out of Philly ever repped blood or crip and got taxed out in LA.....im not talking about local shyt.....most artists are backed by someone usually a hustler ....that's a given they bankrolling....im saying they aint out in LA paying gangs for protection to move around....and claiming sets

Ain’t no gangs in Detroit either
Philly is not unique in that

Bingo!

"And you gotta pay Teefy weekly!!"- Ar Ab dissing Meek Mills

All those offspring from the JBM and the Nation of Islam mosque no 12 been extorting philly rappers and deejays for decades now....

The Philly Black Mafia set the trend in the 70s when they provided the muscle and funds for Philly International Records Gamble and Huff artist's Teddy Pendegrass...Patti Labelle..Billy Paul and Harold Melvin

And lets not forget the almighy LG ..old philky heads remember him as the boss of the Hilltop Hustlers (steady b...cool c...tat money etc.)

LG at one time was like the JPRINCE of philly :salute:

Had the city on lock so hard...even NYC rappers and bosses had to get a pass from him to make moves in the rap game there

Word to my philly a alike TAHMEL BEY :myman:

Leon Huff & Luqman Abdul Haqq

LG tried that shyt with Mr. Magic, and got shut down by Lance Feurtado!

Even Mr. Magic didn't fall for it. He told Mr. Magic if he didn't play his record he was gonna shoot him. Mr. Magic still didn't play the record:lolbron:
