The 80s and 90s. Wasn’t nobody checking for Philly in the golden era like that. And they was 2nd biggest market for rap before LA came though.
Other than NY and LA, no other city had more than a few big names in the 80s and there’s reasons for that.
Philly is right there behind them.

Nah. When LA AND The BAY came on the seen blew the East out the water. Philly had ONE major hip hop venues (after midnight) and the city shut it down.
