The 215
i'm not being obtuse, why would i bring nice restuarants into the discussion when it's clear these establishments they're targeting would never fit that bill? after reading the article, looks like this is the result of regulations that overreach due to misclassification of these stores/delis
Because the link and or the video talks about that being one of the reasons that's why.

Yeah but other neighborhoods don't have as much violence. :manny: Crime is high in the hood, we know this. The reason why it's high, is a story all in itself, but it is what it is. Some of these cities are at 300+ murders for the year. The stores are located in the neighborhoods where these murders are occurring. They would be dumb not to protect themselves for real.
No I agree with them having the Bp personally. I just can also see what the lady in the video or in the article was talking about about not going to a real restaurant without a Bp glass. If they want to be "restaurants" then they should have to abide by the same rules. That's what the lady is getting at to me but again I could be wrong as shyt and it won't be the first time.

Above the fray.
Yeah to be totally honest.

If I lives in that community, I wouldn't feel a need to have bulletproof glass.

But if i live outside the community (better neighborhood), then i shouldn't be there exploiting while treating the inhabitants like animals. Simple as that.

this is 100% bulls.hit and you know it.

yea, people love these talking points on the net ignoring real life. if you're in a neighborhood that gets shot up and got folks doing stick ups on the regular, fukk your "if you dont feel safe leave" rhetoric (BTW a lot of these store owners are making 30-50k a year - they're not rich and don't have the skills or capital to be doing business in some upscale neighborhood), that BP glass may be the difference between being shot/killed and simply getting stuck for some cash.

Exactly.

guess i need to read the article cuz i still don't get it...what does bulletproof glass have to do with them being a store, deli, or restaurant? if the issue is what they're selling, then why not regulate that?

dumb as hell to force them to remove bulletproof glass :snoop:
Because this forces them to stop operating with a loop hole

fukk them store owners

I feel you, but without them, there wouldn't be stores/food marts in these neighborhoods and they are necessities.
Yes there would
And most likely a more safe environment with actual fresh vegetables and fruits
And not just chips, now n laters, dutch masters and the owner's cat sleeping on old bread loafs:wow:

what right does the government have to tell a private business they arent allowed to put bulletproof glass in their store :what: this is the most retarded shyt ive ever heard in my life
Because they only do it in certain areas
And you shouldn’t treat customers like they live in a zoo

Now if they were people who actually lived in the neighborhoods I wouldn’t have a problem with it
But most of them are not

I can't agree with that. I remember they opened a similar store here, near my grandmothers house and it didn't last long. People have been too conditioned. You'd have to change mentalities first. Whose going to pay $1 for one apple when you can get 4 bags of chips for the same price and you have 4 and 5 mouths to feed?

Great law fukk them who come in and set up shot in the community and take cash but hide themselves.

If you don't feel safe don't set up shot and hopefully with these store owners leaving it may or hopefully encourage black stores to fill the void

Do you think if offered a choice ppl in the hood way say yes I prefer to go to stores where ppl are behind glass?

you know why you're wrong? because this law isn't actually about peoples feelings and being offended by glass :dead: the fukking councilman in the article is quoted as to what the reason is. and its not what you just posted :camby:
