I don't recall they were direct rivals though.
It's a 2000. I lucked out, because the woman I got it from was going to give it to her 17 year old daughter, but she didn't think the kid would drive responsibly, so she put it up for sale. I drove her home for $11,500.

It's basically the same car drivetrain wise the only difference is how it looks and level of luxury.

They are both automatics. A 6-speed would have been nice too, but my girl can't drive a manual, and I really have no desire to teach her. The red one in the back is my '95 Trans Am. She just rolled over 70k miles.

93-97 was LT1, 98-02 LS1. for both the camaro and the bird. Nobody mentioned or alluded to shyt about the 93-97 years or the LT1. the breh was simply asking whether or not the Camaro had a modified version of the LS1 that gave it an advantage over the bird's LS1.
