It's fukking crazy man.

Pip has a better J, post game, and handle than Bron, but he supposedly wouldn't be shyt now in a league where James Harden throws his head back during layups to get fouls?

:camby:

Lets not get carried away now....But yeah, Pip would be a top 5 player in today's league imo

You guys realize Jordan and Pippen won 6 ships and led monster defensive teams with NO INTERIOR DEFENSIVE PRESENCE?

Who the fukk do you think was the reason they were able to be elite defensively with nobody protecting the rim?

Jordan and Pippen were 2 of the top 5 help defenders of all time. And help defense is way more important/impactful than straight man to man (which Pippen was also top 5 ever at on the perimeter).

All of you can :camby:

Those bulls team had interior D my man.....

Yup...Cartwright was a solid defender for the most part...And Phil had the big stiffs that could move side to side and pop a 12 footer.....But yeah, they had interior D...
Sure they did you dont think it was just Jordan and Pippen who defeated the Bad Boy Pistons. Those squads were deep Stacy King, BJ Armstrong, John Paxson. Even later you still had Luc Longley, Wennington, and those guy. Those Bulls teams were champions not just because of Jordan they had good players around him.. in addition to great coaching.

Old ass Bill Cartwright was not protecting the rim. Horace Grant never averaged more than 1.2 blocks a game on the Bulls. They had a bunch of good defenders but nobody detracting players from attacking the rim like Hakeem, Ewing, Zo, Mutombo, etc. Yet they were still a top 10 defense every year. Rodman wasn't a presence at the rim either, he was too short to be constantly altering shots. He contributed on defense in other ways.

Longley and Wennington were nothing special either but all those guys knew their roles and played them well. Except for Stacy :scusthov:

So you didn't see any of those Bulls team play basically.....?

Players I would take over Pippen without question. (In no particular order)

1. Dirk
2. Duncan
3. Garnett
4. Magic
5. Chris Paul
6. Kobe
7. Wade
8. Lebron
9. Durant
10. Shaq
11. Hakeem
12. Kareem
13. Wilt
14. Karl Malone
15. Charles Barkley
16. David Robinson
17. Jordan
18. McGrady

Then you have players like John Stockton, Dr. J, Clyde Drexler, Grant Hill, Gary Payton, Patrick Ewing etc. that were around the same level as him. Its hard to come up with 50 players that were definitely better than Scottie. Pippen at his peak was arguably a top 5 player in the league. So I have to say yes he is top 50.

Pippen gets overrated AND underrated

He was a great overall player who was smart, had intangibles and was very key in the bulls 6 titles. He also froze up in late game situations, was a terrible clutch performer and wasn't a leader. He needed mj just as much as mj needed him

Where do you rank him all-time? Where would he rank in today's league? Do you think Paul George is better than him?
