It doesn't make sense the level of talent doesn't make a big enough drop off to justify tanking. We are the 3rd youngest team in the league these boys need to experience winning in order to get better. We can improve through free agency. We still have plenty of $ to spend this off season and It's not like we need a massive amount of talent to get better. We just need situation type players, Like the Meeks signing.

The last one is key, how the fukk did the Pistons forget, in today's league, that you need to space the floor to be successful to any degree. All Josh Smith does is make it harder to score in the paint since his ass is too dumb to go to work there and other players can't attack with Smith's man sagging all the way off him(like Faried said, they WANT him to shoot).

Nah bro,we actually a solid team and Im not just saying that because of the win streak,we are a wing and another solid bench player away from really doing something,Drummond and Monroe is the key here if they pan out and we can keep them together,they can be Duncan and Robinson pt.2,maybe not as good but along them lines,Jennings play his part he can be TP, we ok breh,let them taste the playoffs,lose and get hungry and work even harder.

It's too late for them to battle with the elite tankers, without Smith they'd have to pull Drummond, Monroe, Jennings and KCP off the floor just to be as bad as those other teams.
They need a wing, and there's a good chance they'll be able to find one where they're picking even if they do make the playoffs. What they need to do though is make a decision on Monroe, if they do make the playoffs and he leaves that would be a big blow.

If they lose Monroe though they could always draft a PF and make a run at Kawhi Leonard or Draymond Green, especially Green since he's from Michigan and the Warriors would be deep into the luxury if they had to match an offer for him.

Id rather keep monroe first then go deaymond and kawhi last
Monroe and drummond have potential to be one of the toughest front courts in years but dray and drum would be a match up nightmare wirh green having the ability to hit the 3
Kawhi is dope but idk if im sold on him outside pops coaching and three first ballot hof players. Hed be the de facto nunber 1 player from jump here
Plus i trust gundys method of towers in the middle and shooters every where
they already have young talent that needs seasoning (drummond, monroe, kcp). the whole tanking strategy is not always the best course for a franchise. detroit being a prime example. they'd get more outta it as a franchise to make the playoffs this year than tank.
