Actually there is a report that raptors pitched Jonas for Drummond

Prior to swinging a deal with the Orlando Magic for forward Serge Ibaka, the Toronto Raptors reportedly offered the Detroit Pistons a trade for center Andre Drummond involving Jonas Valanciunas.

According to Jake Fischer of SI.com, the Raptors are "skeptical" about Valanciunas, which is why he was part of the package Toronto reportedly attempted to entice Detroit with.

To bad

Jonas is a bum

Cousins easily is a no brainer,Drummond = Val.

Both stink defensively, ones a better rebounder ones a better offensive player...

I just don't believe the pistons will really trade Drummond...

I know he has taken a step back this year but giving up on a 23 year old big man after not even a full bad season is kind of rash...

Shaq might have been right with his "master of panic" statements about SVG

he wouldnt have had to give up one of those picks to get AD. how the hell you justify giving one up for Drummond?
Then why should Detroit do anything? They're an eighth seed with a young core of guys who havent peaked yet, and they havent made the playoffs in forever. Why start to blow that up now unless you're getting a deal that blows you away?

23 year old all star center or a 27 year old all star swing. No shyt, brozay

Nobody values Drummond over Jimmy

Drummond has become one of the more overrated players in the league (which is why I didnt buy the Pistons preseason hype)

The only thing playing in your favor is age, and even then Jimmy will be elite through his next contract

I just don't ever see him being a weapon on offense

If he's the guy you're building around you're not going anywhere

I'm not saying I'd just give him up but if you got back a lot you'd have to do it

Let's say the Celtics gave you a young player or two and one of the Nets picks you have to take it

Pistons right now are stuck in the NBA treadmill going nowhere. Either rebuild or make a move for a star which they don't have the assets to

you have to be realistic. they're not getting the brooklyn pick for Drummond. they can use it as a starting point, to negotiate for what they actually want from boston. but if boston gives that pick up for a flawed not-quite-two-way player that you can't trust to finish games...

i mean, does that sound like the type of player you give up the potential #1 pick for?
