It's a good move for qbs to go with 
if it's within the rules why not. But as a former defensive player I got a penalty in game for a dude faking a run out of bounds cost us 15 yards but he could have easily gained 30 or more. It's really tough sometimes to not hit somebody when it's a split second decision.
