Boycotting Target, Walmart and Amazon isn’t starting out small though, unless you’d like to say otherwise.
It is starting small. It initially started as one day. There hasn’t been a nationwide movement in decades, so any hit to these businesses bottom line is a plus. People will still go, but many people won’t. And many people are actively looking for alternatives. That’s what counts.
People saying we need to pull out of all major corporations all at once or else none of this matters is counterproductive.
It kind of does as it comes off as hypocritical and phony. So it's not okay to shop at Target, but it's okay to go to your local gas station that views you the same way?
Like I was telling a friend yesterday, Walmart has been grimy for years in how they've treated people and their practices, yet people still shopped there and didn't bother boycott.

Regardless of your personal views, it’s a movement that’s gaining momentum nationwide. Why is that an issue? I don’t care if someone is only boycotting so they can get TikTok content, every little bit helps.

For two) the stakes aren't really tangible enough at this point for everybody to energized into participating. When you all have a shared experience of not being allowed to sit on a bus without giving up your seat for a white person, or not being allowed into certain restaurants you feel it more deeply. than just a policy change on a companies website that you disagree with.
